Mods (short for Modifications) are modfications of the game ranging from simple tweaks to total conversions. Mods can be created with the ModuleSystem and the help of other editing tools.
There is also the options of modifying the game's text files by hand, but it's difficult and almost worthless to do that, because a ModuleSystem compile of the mod will overwrite all text file changes.
There are many mods created for Mount&Blade and Warband that can be found on the TaleWorlds Forums.
